A 1973 Volvo P1800ES wagon — one of the most desirable and collectible sports wagons of the 1970s. The car is in red with a black interior and equipped with the sought-after manual transmission with overdrive. This example has been decently preserved and makes an excellent candidate to be brought back as a nice driver or for a full restoration. Paint shows its age, with chips on the hood and some bubbling, while the body presents well from a distance. The interior remains usable with intact seats and clean carpets. Recent maintenance includes: • New gas tank • Reworked brakes • New fuel lines • New tires Mechanically, the car runs, but it will need attention: cold starts are slow, brakes feel weak, and reverse occasionally pops out. The trunk floors and underside are in decent shape; floors have been patched and appear mostly solid with some localized rust. Frame rails are solid, though rust is visible on the lower quarters of both rear panels. Extras include a spare wheel, jack, new headliner, and additional parts. 1973 P1800ES Wagon

We are selling our 1972 Volvo p1800e. It has electronic fuel injection and has 4 wheel disc brakes. It has a 4 speed manual with an electric overdrive and yes it works. When we first got it we pulled the engine and replaced all the gaskets and updated the rear main to new one piece and also replaced the clutch while there. Two years ago I replaced all the brake calipers and all rubber hoses and master cylinder and booster. Also replaced all the fuel injectors. The gas tank is in bad shape so I just put a 12 gallon fuel cell in the trunk. It has some rust but its old. It runs well and drives well. Took it to Osceola several times for a cruise and ran it in the Leon parade. But lost interest in restoring it one day. Its not perfect but it will be a good one to restore. Engine runs very good and stops good too. I have the original wheels too I believe. Asking $6950 located near Leon Iowa.

This is a 1971 volvo p1800.
it was last running in 1998 as far as i know.
has automatic transmission. fuel injector system  and 120 hp ( 9.6 seconds to 0-60 mph)
engine turns over freely. missing the injectors rail . 97k original miles.
this car has factory air conditioning.!! very rare. 
original radio in dash. all the interior parts are there and nothing seem to be missing.
however the transmission's selector is broken - see picture  (costs around 100$ for good used one)
the front seats have been recovered.
need a better hood and trunklid.
floor pans have some rust but undercarriage is pretty solid.

2. We had the fuel injection system replaced with a carburetor. (Still have the original system)
3. We live in the city, so we had a custom power steering system installed, in order to ease our way out of our alley-facing garage and allow for easier parallel parking on city streets. 
4. We added era-appropriate seatbelts in the backseat for our 5- and 7-year-old. 
5. Replaced all of the tires this year. 
6. Used as a daily driver.

1971 Volvo 1800E

This is my 1971 Volvo P1800E collector car that I have had fun showing off but it is time to sell.

I purchased this car in 2012 from a gentleman in NY that restored Volvo P1800s. He wisely chose a Porsche yellow rather than the original Volvo yellow. The paint job is gorgeous and a must see. 

The car has been kept in a temperature controlled garage during every offseason i've owned it and covered inside the rest of the year.

The engine compartment is like new, the trunk is like new, the paint is like new. The interior is original and in good shape. The leather doesn't have any tears but is not perfect. The chrome is also in great shape but not like new. This car is good enough to enter into shows but maybe not a 1st prize winner...but maybe 2nd pace!

It is a fun driver because it turns heads wherever it goes.

The short list of things that need addressed are:
1) Wipers turn on and off intermittently
2) radio works intermittently
3) paint blemish on the interior driver's side

I purchased this 1966Volvo P1800S from an 80 year old man in 2016 who had purchased it new in 1966 when he was 30.  It was a 50 year old one owner car.  I am a car collector and the history and condition of this car made it the end of my search at that time for a good P1800S.  The car still had the original interior and carpeting when I bought it and was showing 29,000 miles on the odometer.  The man explained that it had rolled over 100,000 miles twice, so it had 229,000 miles on it.  He had the engine pulled and rebuilt at 100,000 miles and again at 200,000 miles, so when I bought it the engine had 29,000 miles since the 2nd rebuild.  I have had new carpet, interior and headliner put in the car and a fresh repaint.  The story of the car and its owner over the 50 years of his ownership is amazing.  It's too much to include here, but if you are interested in a P1800, this is one of the finer examples you could find.  It isn't concours quality, but it wouldn't take much to move it up to that category.  The maintenance and care of the car by the original owner since new was taken seriously and the condition of the car shows it.  The car has never been in an accident and It's solid and rust free. 1964 Volvo 1800S (P1800), titled
as a '65. These early cars with
the buckhorn front bumpers are
getting fairly scarce. I had this
car running and driving during
summer of 2021 (I can send video),
but it has been in storage
(indoors) ever since. It will
need some attention, including a
new battery. Also, carbs were rebuilt but need to be synchronized. Interior out of
later car needs finishing (I have

a B20 "E" head and a D cam. body is very straight tho faded everywhere with very little rust. floors solid, front ball joints and
bushings very new, black was a rare color! I added the wheels and cowhorns and grille to fake it as a '64 but i have the '65 spec
bits. Drives well, oil/temp gauge works! tach and speedo and clock do not! 8500 or best offer!
