Engine was professionally rebuilt by Pat Priester (former local Volvo Sports Club President) of Alpine Imports. Including new Clutch, brakes and exhaust. Notice Aluminum radiator, Chrome components, Vintage Air conditioner and a hidden Bluetooth sound system. That is the reason it has racked up 8 first place trophies including best Gran Tourismo, Best foreign Car, Best Import and even Best Vintage (IPD). This car is a rust-free, California original and is a wise investment with no Oregon tax and confidently ready to go and show. 1962 P1800 Jensen

This lovely estate coupe hails from the town of Essex, CT.

A stunning piece of Swedish Iron, it is running and driving. Aside from the driver’s seat needing TLC, you can get behind the wheel immediately. Chassis number is 1836353-006029.

Showing 33,793 miles on the odometer, with great-looking paint, this is not a project car. As mentioned, the driver’s seat needs attention. The owner has researched options for seat restoration and that information will be included with the sale of the car.

Mechanically speaking, the B20 engine with 2.0 L inline-four starts right up and works to its potential. The four-speed manual transmission featuring electric overdrive shifts properly and as expected. This rolling beauty is not only stylish, but practical. The sloped back and finned tail provide plenty of cargo space.

Miscellaneous tinkering to keep your passion alive would include: rear glass pistons need to be replaced, driver’s door opens only from the outside, piece of trim on rear bumper needs to be reattached, and there may be others. There may be other smaller weekend projects, but the guts are there, and the exterior is dazzling.

1973 P1800ES in Essex CT

1972 P1800E with automatic transmission and AC……last driven 2013. Pulled into garage for brake issue and transmission leak, never got back to it(kids/successful small business took priority). Time to give it up.

Interior redone professionally, back seats eliminated, very nice and far more useful than ridiculous back seats. Paint job was done, windows tinted, nice custom wheels put on it, points replaced with electronic ignition that works flawlessly. Some rust, front bumper kinked, no battery and for sure bad gas in it now after sitting so long.

Have many extras that need to go with it, including 2 other B20 engines I removed from 144’s i owned before finding this car…one of those engines has a manual tranny still coupled to it, both were running when removed. It will need to be trailered out, so allow for that if you want my p1800.

Loved and drove this car all around the SE for about 10 yrs as my 1st company car. Could not imagine selling it, but too old now to get back to it, so time to pass it on.

Selling a 1961-1973 Volvo P1800?

Volvo p1800 running driving and registered no leaks it runs good.  I took out the computer fuel injection and put in dual side draft doce carbs and manifold. It will come with all the parts I took out . Its registered and has a clean title in my name it has a new exhaust and can be daily driven . It presents well it could use a paint  and interior carpet and door panels it just need cosmetics . It has new tires as well its ready for someone to take it to the next level or just enjoy as it is  .

1966 Volvo P1800

You're looking at a 1973 Volvo 1800ES with a 4 speed manual transmission with overdrive. Everything works except clock and oil temperature gauge. The car is a mild custom, bumpers and side markers removed, IPD sport springs dropped the ride hide about an inch from stock, has aftermarket steering wheel (original is included), Bluetooth radio, electric cooling fan, otherwise it's stock. The engine has strong and even compression, appears to be rebuilt at some point, but I don't have a proof of that. Work done in the last few years:

Valves adjusted

Steering link replaced

Bluetooth radio

All ball joints replaced

IPD sport springs front and rear
